Marines who’ve died
Few have known the highest pride
Earned by those Marines who’ve died.
Battle weary, tired and tried,
The Ultimate Sacrifice was required.
To the battle you did go,
Unflinchingly bold and without show.
Spartan warriors, fearless and brave,
Forsook your own life, a brother to save.
You did your duty. You joined the fight.
Why they asked? Because it was right.
Flag of honor, stained with red.
You died for it; your own blood was shed.
Freedoms’ Bells toll tonight
For the Unsung Hero of the fight
On to heaven the warrior goes
Well done boy, Jarhead’s know…
